Hi Marcia, Since the phone you purchased is locked to AT&T's network only a SIM card from that carrier will work. You may contact your provider/carrier to see if they have a way to get this to work on their network or unlock this. It may be possible to unlock the device by rooting the device. Please be aware that rooting will typically void any warranty on the phone, but may be your only route to work with your carrier.
