“Everything I've read has said the U.S. S20 models would have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. The BB description (in features and specs) shows it has a Samsung Exynos 990 octa-core processor. Which is it?”

• Exynos is for the global market and Snapdragon is for typically North America. If you live in the USA or Canada chances are you'll get the Snapdragon variant.
