I would recommend looking into the best buy credit card and getting the unlocked version of this device. You'll have an unlocked device unattached to any carrier and you can pay it off in a year with the best buy card

Sprint is doing away with the two year plans and you can change phones or plans after one year now, if that helps. How much you pay depends on how many more payments you have left on your current phone or plan. If you want to upgrade now, you have to pay whatever is left on your old plan.
