To be honest the hardware is correct with a USB Port and a DVD player however you now need the software or an app to make the DVD available for use and I have never seen such an app. I would do it in a different way. Simple use your PC to transfer the DVD's to an SD card and simply play your movies from the SD. Remember a tablet is a streaming device so apps to play DVD's are not a popular usage for tablets.
