“Is this the same as the B&N samsung/nook? If not, how is this version for reading in sunlight?”

• The B&N Tab S2 Nook and the Samsung Tab S2 do appear to be the same device, although there may be differences in software and implementation. It is not the best for reading in direct sunlight, and the screen is almost mirror-like so it is virtually unreadable if the sun is reflecting into your eyes; an e-paper device like the black-and-white Kindle (although not B&N) would be much better in that regard. Of course, you'd only have an e-reader then as the Kindle implementation of the 'net browser is quite limited. I assume the Nook GlowLight Plus would be comparable to the Kindle, but I have no experience with them.

• Same. Just 9 icons added in the NOOK version, just a special OS installed due to NOOK icons. Same tablet.
