Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For those of you who do not know: Samsung took over manufacturing the "Nook" 2 yrs ago. This year's version is the 8" Tab S2 same as sold at Best Buy. I have spent all day trying to determine the answer to this question too. Kiatec1 would have saved me some time. What it comes down to is: 1) Do you want the Nook freebies with the purchase? Couple of books and $5 GC. 2) Do you want the Nook specific extras. 3) Do I want to use my 10% membership discount. Choice for me comes down to 2 vs. 3 : I keep having to upgrade because they keep changing, and the issues seem to be battery related. I did read one review where they commented that the Nook version battery does suffer. It might be worth the $40 to not buy into that for a 3rd time.....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a Sammy... With an Omled display.. You'll see.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the Nook has a 9" display. It also will not have the Samsung software on it. It is Android so that should all be the same. Other than that. The things under the hood are a bit different. The Samsung has Octacore processing. Essentially running two quad core processors one running at 1.9GHz and the other at 1.3GHz the Nook has one Dual core processor at 1.5GHz. The resolution on the screen. Samsung has a 2048x1536 (QXGA) Super AMOLED display while the Nook has 1920 x 1280 Full HD resolution. Now my review was on the 8" tablet but if you want a bigger screen you can get it with all the same specs in a 9.7" tablet. Hope this helps.
