• as long as it is the verizon sim card no problemo, you can also turn data on and off as needed and go wi fi

• Bobl, It does come with sim card slot. I just activated it and added to my Verizon acct at the store. Verizon charged me 10 a month extra as a tablet to my existing acct. You can walk out of the store with an un-activated device and enable on Verizon without doing so at a BB store. Just ensure that you look at all the money you can save with in store activation.
