I would check with your home bank and the Florida bank as to the policies and international transactions of each bank, even if the bank in Florida and your home bank are the same bank. I would also ask each bank about buying anything online and I am assuming from what you wrote that you want to pick up what you ordered online and pay for it with the funds coming from the Seagrass branch in Florida. I would also ask both banks about traveler checks. As traveler checks are prepaid, I have never seen anyone have problems paying for whatever they want to purchase. This is where I would check with customs as to what you are allowed to take home; it is possible you may have to ship the item(s) home depending on the weight of the item(s) and what the items(s) are to be used for- personal or business. Personally I would check with customs about ordering from your country, picking item(s) up in another country and making payments in another country as well as ordering the item online and having It shipped to your home or place of business. If you checked the cost and shipping of items you wanted to purchase with customs, you might find the cost difference not that much. I know what you are trying to do and if I have figured out you want to pick up and pay for items purchased in the United States as you think it would be cheaper than buying online and having item(s) shipped to your country. If I was in your place, I would make sure I had spoken with customs, took down the customs officer name and identification number and the number of the ruling that allows you to do what seems to be to purchase and pay for items in the United States and then take them home with you. I do not know how you planned to transport items you purchased, but I know when I went to different country's and purchased items to take home, I had to declare what it was, and how much I paid for any item I wanted to take home with me. This is why I suggested you call customs before you ever left home. The people in customs have no problem taking your purchases and throwing one or all the items purchased in the trash. One time I had purchased a marble chess set which put my suitcase over the weight limit. Though the lady was very nice when telling me I had to ship the Chess set separately there was only the flimsy box that it came with. The lady filled out the necessary paperwork and put the box with the hand carved playing pieces and the playing board in a double layer of plastic bags, put FRAGILE stickers all over the plastic. I should have just put it in the trash before I ever went to the airport or made sure my husband would not make such a scene over $25.00 for the shipping. Upon arriving home, most of the small pieces were not broken. However anything over the size of 1 1/2 inches was broken or cracked. The playing board was in so many pieces it was impossible to even try to make repairs. I have wanted a marble chess set since I was a child and of course my parents felt a child did not need a marble chess set. I am going to be 64 years old soon. I doubt I will ever get the opportunity again to purchase a marble or even a quartz chess set that is hand carved or partially hand carved. If in 56 years I was unable to purchase the chess set I had dreamed about since I was 8 years old, I doubt I will ever have the opportunity again due to health problems when traveling.
