Hello Guerilla, great question! Samsung has Bluetooth and LTE smart watches. The LTE version can receive calls and messages without being connected to a phone. However, this watch model is the Bluetooth version. ^Elizabeth
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, it will not. It will loose range as it uses blue tooth to connect to your phone. You will needs a LTE watch. In order to have a LTE watch though, it will use your cell phone data. Which means you will need to buy a Samsung LTE smart watch, then call and play for the watch plan through your carrier. Rates depend on your carrier. My carrier charges 10 dollars a month. So I chose to just use this watch model instead of LTE. This phone is worth it. The only feature it can't do is make a phone call. Which my friend has the LTE and the phone calls are garbage anyways.
