• yes, you just have to turn those notifications on in the settings!

• Yes, you can set up your watch to get Facebook or email notifications through the Galaxy Wear app on your phone. You can even read text only email and reply from your watch. I have multiple email accounts and I can choose to see just one account at a time, or I can see them all.
