Hello, Pam. The Bluetooth version does have cellular options, such as receiving/sending calls and texts. The usage comes from the watch being connected via Bluetooth, however. The LTE version can be used independently without the Bluetooth connection. If you are someone who always has her phone, the Bluetooth version may be more ideal for the price. If you somewhat frequently forget your phone and would wear the watch often, the LTE version may be more ideal. I hope this information helps!

The LTE version can receive calls and messages without being connected to a phone. However, you'll first need to activate service for your watch through the same carrier as your mobile phone. ^Elizabeth
