A:AnswerThe Bluetooth model your phone needs to be within a certain distance of the watch for it to pick up calls and texts. The LTE will go through your phone network ($10 a month with Verizon) and you can literally leave the phone home and the watch will work alone. This is great if your phone battery is dead or you forget it at home!
A:AnswerHello Shugg3000, that's a really good question! AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon all offer plans for the LTE versions of Galaxy Watch Active2, Galaxy Watch, Gear S3, and Gear S2 models. ^Elizabeth
A:AnswerHello WhyUnlocked, that's a really good question! Samsung has Bluetooth and LTE smart watches. The LTE version can receive calls and messages without being connected to a phone. However, you'll first need to activate service for your watch through the same carrier as your mobile phone. Unlocked by Samsung gives you more freedom when choosing a carrier or traveling. ^Elizabeth
A:AnswerDon't quote me on this, but I do believe there will be carrier specified devices. I'm not really sure if they've been released yet, I know that it is advertised on Samsung's website and when purchasing from their website the option for Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T are there but classified as unavailable at the moment. I also think if you surf Best buy you'll find some carrier specific devices as well, although I do think they aren't shipping quite yet. Initially I bought a Sprint Galaxy Watch active 2, but quickly returned it to purchase the unlocked variant after I discovered the shipping would be overnight as I was still waiting for an expected ship date for the Sprint exclusive device.
