“I'm getting mixed answers from Best Buy employees; some say this will work w/ Verizon since Samsung released an update, but others say it will only work on T-Mobile. Can anyone give a DEFINITIVE answer whether or not this can be activated on Verizon??”

This watch works now on Verizon after the update. I was able to put it on my account by just using the Galaxy Gear app. They could not active it until I downloaded the TIZEN update to the watch. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not know about working with Verizon. I have AT&T and it works with it. I have the Data plan and do not need my phone with me. Or you can Bluetooth it and have your phone with you..
