That is a great question! The Unlocked option of the Galaxy Watch4 is the LTE version that allows you to use the device without your phone being present once service is connected with your carrier. The GPS option refers to the Bluetooth version of the device. This option allows you to have full functions with your mobile device nearby. Thank you for taking the time to ask this question. ^Kayla
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is incorrect. You can only use service with this watch if you have tmobile, att, or verizon. Even if you have one of these 3, you can only use the lte if you have the right plan, and then add extra money for the smartwatch extension (tmobile digits addition, verizon add-on, att add-on). So, unless you have these specific carriers with the unlimited plan, you can't do anything with this lte watch and might as well just buy the bluetooth version of the watch. Now, if you buy the watch directly from verizon/tmobile, you can get them to give you a brand new phone number for the watch for 10$ per month plus 35-40 dollar activation fee. BUT, they will charge extra for the watch.
