• It is compatible with the Note 8 but you cannot answer phone calls on it. It will vibrate to alert you to a call or text though,

• I have this watch paired with my note 8 and it is working flawlessly. The watch has no speaker or microphone to take calls on. You are able to answer phone calls via the watch if you choose, but still need you phone to take the call. If you're looking for a watch to take calls on go with the Gear3 and activate it on your mobile providers network, if you do that you can literally leave your phone at home and get all of your calls via the gear 3.
