• Yes it will stream netflix, the player has the ability built it. It will work with WiFi and through ethernet cable, just depends on your setup. The TV does not need to be a smart tv, the player will decode and send the signal to the tv. I recently purchased one and am very satisfied with it. Hope this helps

• Yes, it will stream netflix to any TV as long as the TV has an HDMI input.
