Yes. My husband has a really old prepay plan from Verizon and when he lost his cellphone, this was the only phone which they allowed him to keep his same prepaid account and transfer to his new phone. The only things he lost were the phone numbers stored in the lost phone. He didn't even need to go to the Verizon store to transfer - there's a menu that you follow to do the transfer by yourself at home.
