We purchased this phone because our hunting camp in Georgia has limited cell service the only phone that comes in is Verizon . Our AT&T phones will not work. We were looking for an cheap way to stay in contact with family in Florida. A $15 card and the Basic phone you can't get much cheaper. If all you need to do is talk it is a good phone. Voices are clear. The menu is very difficult to work. Takes minutes to text 5 words. It takes terrible pictures. The pictures are so bad you can hardly tell what it's a picture of. No internet for that price. Great cheap phone to talk only.

Got this for my elderly father who after 10 years managed to kill off his old phone. Not wanting to deal with a contract phone at his age or try to explain why to him, as he is 87 years old, I found this phone. He now has unlimited talk--which is what you need for someone his age--and text messaging--not going to try to explain what that is to him--for less than half of what his old contract phone used to cost. Tie it to a debit card and voila; a phone that is easy to use, has the things he needs on it, and can be gotten rid of when...the time comes...

For those out there who are not interested in using a smart phone, or who have absolutely no idea how to use one, this one is for you! This phone offers Sapir your sound quality and basic connectivity for Bluetooth. The camera is not much to brag about, but it gets the job done. I would definitely recommend this phone if you have that person in your life who is not interested in a smart phone or who does not have the capability of using I've.

I bought this phone for my parents as just a simple phone for emergencies and have the Basic Talk plan from Verizon. I have my own out dated smart phone on a No Contract plan which costs me more than twice what I pay for the Verizon Pre-Paid program. I may just switch and purchase my own simple Verizon Pre-Paid Basic plan as this is a great phone as I am of the generation that doesn't need to be "Wired" in all the time.

I thought the Hulk was just make believe until I spent 10-12 hours over a week and half trying to get internet minutes, then an upgraded phone which didn't work, from one of the cheap carriers. The Verizon Samsung prepaid phone has smartphone quality without the big bill. Best Buy did the legwork for me on setup and buying minutes from them go on the rewards program. Forget the pocket change you save buying it at Wal-Mart.

Just needed something to stay connected to my daughter while she was on vacation. The phone was fairly easy to set up and use. The sound quality was not great but good enough. Phone and texting was poor quality but we only really needed the phone for calls.

This is a great basic phone if that's what you're looking for. Forget the Internet or things of that nature but if you just need a phone to make calls this is one to check out. Had a small problem activating the phone but after calling Verizon they cleared everything up and it is good to go no problems. I do like the Bluetooth that's a must have and the hook up was straightforward works well.

This phone is great. It's a very basic phone, but the call quality and battery life are fantastic. Build quality is very good as well. You can't go wrong if you need a basic phone on Verizon!

This is not a replacement for a smart phone. this is a phone for people who do not want to or cannot have a smart phone. The current version is drastically improved compared to Gusto I. which i used to have before. It's easy to use, easy to carry around and has most of the useful features you need. Camera is not great but much improved compared to the previous one which was worthless. Audio quality great, good signal sensitivity. I use it as a second, back up phone on a PAYGO with Verizon, my main phone is ZTE Zmax with T mobile. There are only two things i would like to see improved. 1. the possibility to black list numbers and send them to Voicemail- important with the robocall epidemic these days. 2. Some changes to the menu option so you would not accidentally activate expensive service . important for anyone on PAYGO plans, especially seniors. I would give 4.5 stars if they had the option.

Picked this up last month on sale for a family member who was waiting for a new phone/service to be delivered, who doesn't really require web/data usage, or unlimited calling. Needed something right away, so this did the trick, with no contract/deposit/large investment involved. Yes, it's an antiquated 3G platform with limited features, and it's a flip phone, so it will only be useful to a very limited demographic. No different from most 2004 phones on the market. However, it was easy to set-up, the Verizon Prepaid service is cheap (starting @ $15 per month) with cards that can be purchased nearly anywhere. The texture of the phone is easy to grip, and makes it nearly impossible to drop the phone (they should cover Androids with this material). The in-call quality is surprisingly good (no dropped calls so far). Recommended for someone with very basic cellular needs, for a backup phone/emergency phone, or someone who doesn't want/need modern features or 4G LTE capability.

This is a very basic phone, but it's all I need. I don't need a Smart Phone. This is small enough to stick in my purse and has functioned quite well for my needs. Has a camera, but I haven't figured out a good way to send pictures yet. The texting function is easy to operate. The features are easily accessible and adequate for what I do. It's a good little phone for not much money and the payment plan fits my budget which is pretty tight.

This phone is perfect for me because i only wanted it for in the car while traveling. Because I do not work out of the home, I use my land line almost exclusively. This has held its battery power for a long while, and has all the features I need for a fraction of the cost of something fancier.

I have been using Verizon prepaid for quite some time and I find the program to be simple to use, especially for those who are away from the US for some period of time such that they will not be incurring daily charges when they are away. The phone is simple, basically gadget-free and does exactly what it is meant to do. Excellent price at Best Buy.

I felt the need to purchase a phone that if it was lost or stole or broken it wouldnt hurt so much. It somewhat teaches them the value of responsibility. Great for the basic need of calls or texts. Now he can move up to something more current.
