The 2nd phone is for when the first fails in maybe 12-18 months. Keep a spare as it is cheaper than insurance! My wife got her smart phone thru Best Buy, of course, and mine is added to her plan. I do not need internet on my phone. You can use this for pay per month, if needed, to get past the six months and then use it to get a cheaper plan.
