Unlikely but I guess it would depend on how if the cat was moving in its range . We have a small dog and it doesn't trigger the device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the cat will trigger the sensor. I have two cats and they always activate it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably, although the sensor is mounted on a ball joint, so you can aim it, to some extent. You may be able to block the sensor from seeing the floor by putting an obstacle in the way, but with a cat, that may not help in all circumstances.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great question, BillK52! The Motion Sensors detect motion and will not differentiate between pets and people. However, you can easily adjust the angle of the Motion Sensor to help avoid areas that your cat frequently travels through. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have 2 cats. it can be tricky but location location location. My solution was to place it vertically about a quarter of the way up the wall where the cats don't tend to go. I have another one located under the bed "footboard area" facing the headboard and it hardly ever picks up the cats. Just our feet for multiple night lights throughout the house
