“Is there a way to turn off the keyboard backlight when not needed?”

• For my 15.6 model (NP7405L-Y2US) ; hold down the Fn key + tap F9 to adjust the keyboard brightness. Even shows an on screen display for the levels.

• Yes you hold the control button and the f9 key and you can turn the key pad lights on and off
