A:Answer No, there not a DVD or cd tray. Laptop is less than 2 inches thick when closed. There are multiple ports including an hdmi where you could connect an external DVD player. Speakers are ok, nothing exciting about them. Screen is awesome. Capibility is great. Fast laptop, can handle running multiple programs without slowing down. Battery life is good. Honestly these are the best laptops I've come by for the money. This line of Samsungs are reliable. We use three for our business. My staff use the 13 inch screen. I use the 15 inch screen because I need the keyboard with a number pad. I made the mistake buying compromible Lenovos and they were junk. I had a similar model from 2013 that lasted four years of abuse. In and out of my briefcase. Aluminum body is the way to go. You get good bang for your buck with this laptop. Anything cheaper I wouldn't consider for my use, and anything more expensive you might as well fork out $1,500+ and take the next step up to a laptop with superb features, capability, processor, and a solid state drive.
