I asked this same question, and this was the answer I received. If the phone is "CERTIFIED REFURBISHED", it is completely Factory Renewed including "A NEW BATTERY" and a "FULL 1 YEAR WARRANTY" This phone was first released in "2020" making it 2 years old.
