• Yes. If you research the card names you will find that the XC just means extreme capacity. I have a Nikon D40 that takes a standard SD card. This micro SD card comes with an adapter to fit the standard size slot. The card works fine in my D40. Depending on the camera your using will make a difference. If it takes HD video or UHD video you need a chip with a fastest enough speed class. All SD chips are not equal. HD requires UHS-1 and UHD requires UHS-3 speed classes. Make sure you check the speed class needed for your camera.
