Yes, it has a remote that is compatible with Samsung TVs. It will control the sound bar and some TV functions. Including on and off.

However we set the sound bar sound level and leave it and control the sound level with the cable remote as we always have. The sound bar turns itself off when it has no signal from the tv and turns on when it detects a signal.
