- Answer If you purchase the unit within the US, it will only have support for All Region and Region 1 DVDs ("All Region" DVDs refers to DVDs that are marked as region 0 or "Region All". This does not mean the player can play every regions’ DVDs). -MrSamsung

Questionmy old dvd player home theather system brought back in 2007 dvd is not working so i wanted to know if i can still use the the speaker that i have theii brought a samsung dvd home theater system ht-40 back in 2007 and now the dvd player is not working so i was looking at the samsung factory refurbished dvd player with 1080p and i was asking if i can connect my old speakers is 5.1 speakers out, to the factory refurbished dvd player that they have on line the one that i just mention

- Answer Due to the nature of the cross compatible connectors (HDMI, Composite(RCA yellow/red/white), Component(red/green/blue), Optical), almost all devices will work with the Samsung DVD players, regardless of manufacturer. There are no special converters required. Aforementioned Cables will be required for normal operation. -MrSamsung

QuestionWhat is the difference between 1080p upconversion and HD upconversion? Is one better than the other if we are buying a 1080p TV?

- Answer Actually, the 1080p upconversion feature and the HD upconversion feature may be referring to the same feature. Since 1080p is considered HD, both of these terms actually mean the same thing. -MrSamsung

- Answer From the available information, none of the Samsung DVD players will offer Netflix connectivity. Only the select Samsung TVs and Blu-Ray players will offer Netflix connectivity. -MrSamsung

The ability to play back may depend on recording conditions.) • DVD-R, +R • CD-RW • DVD+RW, -RW (V mode) - The unit may not play certain CD-R, CDRW and DVD-R due to the disc type or recording conditions. -MrSamsung
