- Answer I'm sorry for the confusion. These two models are actually the same units. The last few characters in the model number are used by Samsung for shipping and tracking purposes mainly and are sometimes used by retailers to better track their own inventory. Very rarely do these characters mean that the units offer different features or sizes. Also the C6500 does offer a ethernet port for hard wiring the unit. -MrSamsung

- Answer If you purchase the unit within the US, it will only have support for All Region and Region 1 DVDs ("All Region" DVDs refers to DVDs that are marked as region 0 or "Region All". This does not mean the player can play every regions’ DVDs), and Region "A" Blu-Rays. However, these units will only have the ability to work on US power grids. -MrSamsung

QuestionWill this player replace my samsung surround sound receiver.I am looking for a product that is wifi smart and is blue ray capable but replaces my surround sound receiver. I have great working speakers and wireless in the back and do not want to buy any packages.

- Answer From the available information, the BD-C6500 is a stand alone Blu-Ray player and not a home theater receiver. That said, receivers for Home Theater Systems in a Box are not sold separately. -MrSamsung

QuestionWIFI ConnectionI was able to connect for a short time to my wireless router but now my player won't connect. I have checked my settings and when I run the network test I get a error during the Gateway Ping test. I know the internet is working and so is my router since my wired computer and laptop are both working. Any suggestions?

QuestionIs this 3d?The Samsung website shows the model bd-c6500 is a 3d blueray player, but the one on bestbuy is not. Is this a different model or is there some reason it is labelled that way?

- Answer It depends on your definition of 3D player as this capability has actually changed in the last few years. For the most part the model BD-C6500 is NOT a 3D player as the new standard sits. There is a model out there with almost the same model number but it should have at least two more letters after the 6500 that designates it as the 3D version. It can be found at the Best Buy website.

- Answer HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface, which is a fancy word for the cable that you connect the Blu-ray player to your television. HDMI is a pure digital cable, which means that the picture is 100% digital and that no picture quality is lost in the transfer between the source (The Blu-Ray player, for instance) and a television display. QuestionNetflix ProblemsI can't get netflix to work. All the other internet connections work fine (like youtube and pandora), so it's not my connection. I've tried numerous times with no luck - keeps saying getting titles, then try later. Also i never got a activation code when i first plugged in. The netflix works fine on my wii! Any suggestions? P.S. this unit is new not refurb.

- Answer Check in your netflix account under activated Devices, if this player appears, remove it and try going online again, it hopefully will ask you to authorize it. Also try to update firmware if you haven't allready, but download it on computer and install via usb stick, follow their directions exactly.
