A:Answer The tos link on your tv is for output to a receiver. The DVD player will connect to your TV via an HDMI cable which transmits digital sound (not analog). You might hear a modest improvement in sound quality over an analog (RCA) DVD connection to your TV, but TV sound is really determined by the quality of the TV's speakers (which are usually pretty poor). You would connect the DVD to the TV via HDMI, then output that sound via the TVs tos link to a receiver (that's one configuration--there are many others depending on how many components you have, like DVR, gaming system, etc. and what you want to do your sound switching--TV or receiver). An AV associate at any electronics store other than Wal-Mart should be able to help you find the right setup if you need to hook up more than a DVD, TV and receiver.
