As a matter of fact, you sh0ould be able to control the BD-C5500 Blu-Ray Player's functionality with the PN58C500's remote control as long as Anynet+ is activated on both devices, and the BD-C5500 is connected to the TV via HDMI. Anynet+ is a function that operates through HDMI 1.3/1.4 jacks and lets you control up to twelve Samsung devices with your Samsung TV remote, with up to three of those devices being of the same type (for example, three DVD players).
