You have to buy two camerias on the list of things the hub has and that is it. But depending on the cameria u get u might nwed another hub that goes with it. If u get zwave u don't need to have another hub.

It only talks with some camera brands but does not have the same features as the app that you would download for your specific camera brand. This hub is more for integrating many items so that they work together when certain events happen such as seeing motion or getting home or another device associated on the smart hub senses something.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Smart Things Hub and in my opinion it's the best out there. I have integrated Arlo cameras with my hub and the pairing was easily accomplished and as far as I can tell everything is working good together. It has proven itself to do more than I had wanted or imagined that it could do. And all of the other things that I have paired with it including a couple of other IP cameras have gone together just right. If you do use the Arlo cameras I would highly recommend using the rechargeable batteries with them. I also use the Philips Hue lighting as another source for the alarm to turn on the lights easily when intruders are detected.
