• This is a Zigbee device and could be a repeater for other Zigbee devices, but will not repeat any WiFi signals.

• Yes it will act as a repeater as long as it is powered on. If it is off it will not.

• I apologize but unfortunately, the previous answer does not address my original question as I had intended and I don't see any way I can either edit my question or respond to the previous responders response. Let me try and re-word the question. I understand the intended design, But suppose I am unable to create a direct line between the hub and the motion sensor because my work truck is parked between the two units and I have no other place to park the truck. If I put the repeater in the truck inverter, then for all practical purposes I create a link between the two units. Then when I leave to go to work, the repeater goes with me, but by then the two units have a direct line of contact since my truck is no longer breaking the connection. When I return home and park my truck between the hub and the sensor, the repeater now again creates the through connection. So therein lies my question: Q:Will this repeater work in a vehicle that has an inverter to increase the output of a link between a motion sensor & the hub or between the wifi connection for any other mobile device?

• I don't believe that this product is designed to be used in a vehicle. It is designed to be used with SmartThings inside a home.
