Absolutely. I am currently using this daily. Nice and easy hookup/process. Even easier to use on PS5 than it was on PS4.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No this would be a major bottleneck. The interface's transfer rate is slower than that of an internal NVMe SSD. (540MB/s compared with around 15GB/s of the NVMe storage). It may be okay as external storage to save your games to, but you'd need to copy the games back to the PS5 to play them as far as I can see.
