- Answer That would depend on your phone, it's possible. If your android phone has a USB Type-C port then you should be able to connect it and browse files. I'm an Apple guy and I can connect this to the iPad Pro and browse and copy files to/from it, so I'd imagine you can do the same. It just depends if your phone supports USB Host mode or not, and I can't answer that question for your specific situation.

QuestionI have an early 2015 MacBook Pro with USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt 2 ports. I mainly want this for the speed, to video edit or play games. Would the speeds be as fast on my MacBook? Would it work with Thunderbolt 2, which is 10Gbps like the USB3.2 Gen2?

- Answer It will run at 5Gbps over the USB 3.0 ports on your Mac. It cannot connect to a Thunderbolt 2 port. It will still be really fast with up to 400-500MB/s transfer speeds with USB 3.0. Definitely worth picking up.
