A:AnswerI also had a signal issue
updated firmware ....(no change)
seems to due with lag time of output from player to tv putting unit into standby/no signal
if I power on and off tv right at blu ray boot up usually fixes
this was on an lg tv
then put on a Samsung TV then got no signal at all
ended up being an issue with my hi end monster cable ??
swapped out cable
but still have to cycle through input or turn on/ off tv to get picture
sounds like a common issue let me know what tech says

A:AnswerThis Samsung 4K Blu-Ray player will actually play a 4K UltraHD Blu-Ray at a significantly higher resolution than the BD-J6300. Your Samsung TV will upconvert a regular Blu-Ray signal played on the 6300, but it will never look as good as the one from an actual 4K UltraHD source. The difference is staggering, so open your wallet and let loose some of that cash and get the 8500.
A:AnswerYou need the Sony set to "HDMI Enhanced" mode in the video menu on the HDCP 2.2 compliant input that the Samsung player is plugged in to. This may require a restart of the TV after you change the HDMI setting.
The player should be on 2160p, 4:4:4 output, Deep Color Off, and switched to User Mode with all sections zeroed out. User Mode is accessible when a disc is playing.
A:AnswerA blu ray disc will always be better quality than any streaming media, no matter where you are streaming from. The bit rate from playing a blu ray disc will always be higher than whatever bitrate you're streaming at.
A:AnswerThe Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Bluray player is ONLY a Player. The ARC, Audio Return Channel is just that. Since this is ONLY a player and not a A\V reciever the ARC doesn't need to send audio Back to the Player from the TV. It does have two HDMI outputs on it. The main is for Audio and Video and the second is for Audio only, so that you can run audio to a reciever that doesnt have 4K 3D pass thru.
A:Answeri did some research and i believe the only tv that will really do the full HDR spec is the new line of LG OLED 2016 models. i did get this tv (LG OLED55E6P) and its amazing! it will tell you when HDR content starts playing with a little bubble. also you will need a proper receiver as well if its part of your setup.. i originally tried an ONKYO that said it supported hdcp 2.2 and hdmi 2.0a (HDR support) but the colors wouldn't pass through right where they were wider ranged.. i went with a brand new to the market (which i believe is the only one as of now) denon avr-s920w and its passed everything through fine!
as for your tv it might work but I'm guess it won't show full range of color. i know some people get messages that popup saying your tv isn't compatible.
if you want to get more nerdy on it research all devices and make sure the specifications support
BT.2020 (color space)
hdcp 2.2 (copy protection)
hdmi 2.0a (HDR information)
best of luck
A:Answerif you have a 4K tv, then yes. Find out which HDMI port on your tv is HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2
One more thing, this new player has HDR which when hooked up to a HDR compatible tv is incredible. I have the new 65 inch 930D SONY tv and it is amazing
A:AnswerI was able to snag one Open-Box online, and it was delivered the next day. I tried like 20 times and finally was able to get one. I just kept checking the site like every hour and adding it to my cart and trying to check out, lol. Persistence pays. :) The unit I received still had all the plastic wrap and my guess is that whoever owned it before me only had it to review it. Keep tyring!!
