• I'm sure with the correct adapter, of course, it will work great with a Retina display, it has the Graphics adapter that will utilize the 4K resolution.

• It's compatible with the MacBook Pro Retinal Display models. I do have a MacBook Pro with Retinal Display and it works fine via the Mini-Display Port.
