“Will these rear speakers reproduce the spoken word that is coming out of the center of the sound bar as well. That would be helpful to me since I have a hearing deficit and I would be sitting closer to the rear speaker then I would be to the sound bar”

I think it depends on your soundbar settings. I have the Q60 soundbar and it has Surround and Adaptive settings. Adaptive mode seems to transmit the voice channels to the rear speakers. Don't know if its sending all the channels or just a select few but it does seem to help with hearing the TV from across a large room.
