yes you can and i am using it right now on my Xbox one.

Yes. I use this on my XB1 currently and it works great. It took only a couple of minutes to setup. It instructs you how to format it when you plug it in, or you can serach Microsoft's support online and it will instruct you how to connect and format the hard drive.
