Before purchasing, I did read that over heating is a common issue for this little guy. Still, it should not be overheating after a few minutes of use. I've used it and have not had any concerning overheating issues, although I have not used it extensively.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same here. It gets VERY hot in USB 3.0 port. Not as hot in USB 2.0 port. I'm using a 1 year old Dell Inspiron. The heat doesn't seem to affect performance though. It's just bothersome when I unplug it and the metal touches my fingers. HOT!
