I currently have mine installed and strictly use them for all other apps, Steam and Origin games. All you need to do is open up the computer case, install it by connecting it to your motherboard Sata port. I would suggest ports 1-6 or 0-5 if that is what they have. Once installed you may have to finalize the SSD to be able to use it. I would also say to uninstall any games and the Steam app from your computer main drive first. When that is done, just install Steam on that drive (SSD) by clicking on browse button when it asks where to install. Then, reinstall all your games because if you don't it will look for the games in the wrong place and cause nothing but frustration. That should be all that you need to do. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can use this SSD as a second HD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, You can install it as a secondary drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use this as a secondary but the advantage of an SSD is faster load times so the other way around would be a much better option
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That would depend on the number of drive bays you have. Nearly all laptop and PC's have two, so you'll be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device uses a SATA connection just like any other HDD. If you're 1TB HDD is currently your primary drive, installing this device to another SATA port inside the computer will add this device as a secondary drive allowing you to load files to it after formatting the drive. Your 1TB HDD will retain the boot sector for your OS so it won't need to be removed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do you mean run only your steam games from this drive and NOT the OS? This article says you can do that by moving the content and creating a hard link to the folder on the SSD. I haven't tried this, but I am pretty sure it would work. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/262456-32-guide-transfer-steam-games
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I understand your question correctly... you can have your Steam games just on this SSD if it installed as a secondary drive. You'll need to go into Steam/Settings/Downloads and change the Steam Library folder to also point to the SSD and then you have some of your Steam games launch off the SSD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know way not. I did just the opposite. I made the SSD the boot drive and games and other programs on the HHD. So, your plan should work. Just make sure during installing your games you tell PC to install it on the SSD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This can be used as a second drive.
