• No, the centerline of most 40 inch TVs is between 18 inches to 20 inches. This bracket only extends about 17 inches, so you can get close, but it will not go 90%. Depending on the centerline of your specific model (the shorter the better) you may be able to get about 80%, but I don't think you will get any more.

• The LF220 has a 75 degree turn capability and with a 40 inch TV you should get close to getting this degree of swivel.
