A: The VLF220 is only designed to accommodate TVs up to 56" so it is not compatible with your TV. A mount that is compatible with this TV and can be set up to only tilt sideways is the XF228.

Q: Can I use this mount to hang a 55" LED TV on a diagonal in corner of room.

A: It will support the TV if you swing it all the way out, and it will fit in the corner, but it will not be a 45% angel. This mount extends about 17 inches, but the centerline of a 55" TV is about 25 inches (depending on the TV). To put the mount in the exact corner, you would need about 24 inches of extension. The only way to have the TV "fit" with this mount would be to mount the back plate 10 inches to 16 inches away from the corner on the wall so it will be "more tilted" in one direction in the corner. If you get it mounted just right, you may be able to get a 30% angle on one wall and 60% on the other.

Great for Apartment living
It is perfect for our NYC apartment. I love that it comes out from the wall and swivels. It is the best because when it's not in use it's easy to tuck back into place on the wall. Install was a bit sucky for us, we had to get a handyman to come in and install it correctly as we are in a brown stone and it's impossible to drill into our walls w/o a hammer drill. Other than that we have no complaints. I actually preferred the handyman route, that way I know our pricey TV is safe and secure and not going to fall off the wall when I pull it out. Definitely worth the price!

Fantastic, Fully Articulated Wall Mount
I got this tilt and swivel wall mount to hang my new HDTV in my bedroom (50"). The mount handle the weight with ease. Installing the mount went fairly quickly and was straight forward. The HDTV now can be adjusted to be viewable while on my bed or while in the sitting area off to the side of my bedroom. Very easy to tilt and swivel the tv with this mount and then lock it in place so the tv stays in that position. Much easier to use than some of the other swing mounts I've used.

great mount for corners
I bought a new 60" flat screen, I needed a wall mount that was flexible to mount the TV in a corner. This mount met all of my needs. It was easy to mount and even though I had to mount it to one wall, it moved over and centered in the corner without any problems and looked great. it even tilts down so sitting or standing you can see easily. this mount was a bit pricy but comparable in price to other mounts of its kind. overall, good quality, easy install and did the job.
