A:AnswerIt is 30” wide. I see what you mean...may not be able to center it on your wall. The only thing I can add is that the TV can slide down the plate so you might be able to make an adjustment that way. It will depend on how far apart the screw holes are for your TV. Mine were something like 26-28’ so I’didn’t have much room to slide for adjustment. This was an old plasma TV. You might have closer holes if newer TV. Good luck!

A:AnswerAre you sure you found the right mounting holes on the back of the TV? This seems odd. I have an old plasma that I hung and the holes were actually covered by these plastic snap off covers. The TV should have threaded holes somewhere. Good luck!

A:AnswerI'd recommend getting another person to help with this. Pull the safety straps down, then tilt the bottom of the TV outwards. Otherwise removing the TV from the mount is also another option.

A:AnswerYou can easily take it down. Read the instruction manual. You would take the tv down and leave the mount on the wall and replace after service.
A:AnswerThis mount will be more than strong enough to support a 55" TV, but you wouldn't need this large of a mount to support a 55" (depending on the weight) this mount is made for 65"-95" TVs. I'd recommend our BLL2-B1 mount for a 55" TV.
