This would not work, but you could use an Apple Lighting to 3.5mm adapter and a short 3.5mm TRS cable to output the sound to your stereo. I would ask a Best Buy employee to assist you in getting the right adapter and cable for your needs, but if you follow what I said there you could easily search and find them too.
