I recommend Seagate personally. This would work too. Remember though, all moving parts can stop working no matter the brand. I have just had much better luck with Seagate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on your PC internal setup. You could buy an ATA to Sata adapter but you would have to make sure your motherboard has a Sata connection. But if your pc still has an Ata connection I'm assuming it's older and would make more sense financially to replace with an Ata drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You are going to need a sata adapter to use this drive , if your system doesn't have one, you should buy a PCI one or if you have it a pcie one.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have bought and used Seagate for many many years. I have yet to have trouble with any of them....whether its for a computer, server, external harddrive....whatever. Seagate has always been my first choice. As far as which model....that would be up to you...depending on the size of drive desired.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to install the largest ATA or PATA Parallel ATA hard drive. This uses the flat ribbon I/O cables. Verify by checking the Sony website for this model's technical specs. PATA hard drives don't come much larger than 320GB. Some motherboards also have SATA ports that are unused originally. If yours does have a SATA port it is most likely SATA I. SATA II hard drives can operate at slower SATA 1 speeds although they may require jumpers to be set.. You may also consider an external USB harddrive to add storage capacity. The large ones are SATA internally and go up to 2 GB today.
