Most HP stuff is proprietary, which is why I started building my own. You would think a hard drive would be interchangeable, and I did use a Seagate on my last HP with no problems, but I just done know. Contact HP support to make sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it's for a laptop only.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely it will work. The format of a drive is what determines the compatibility. Since Windows is formatted as NTFS, the drive will be compatible. As long as you have a bay to connect it into, you can use the drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably, but it's very hard to say without being able to see your computer. If you're replacing your stock drive, absolutely this is near identical in specs to the 1tb drive that should have come with your PC, but if you're adding on extra storage you would need to check inside your pc to see if there's a spare SATA input on your motherboard, a spare 3.5" bay inside to store it (or a 5.5" drive and you can get a mounting bracket) and finally a spare SATA power plug (most desktop pc's have multiple spares in line on a ribbon connected to the stock drive(s)).
