You will need to acquire a SATA cable (They have them at Best Buy) and have a serial power connection available (basically any desktop will have extra power connections available). It is however sized for laptops (2.5") whereas your desktop takes hard drives that are 3.5". There are adapters that will make it fit into the 3.5" or even the 5.25" (CDROM) slot. Otherwise I have seen them installed loosely or even with masking tape!

Read the specs online or on the box and make certain that you set any necessary jumpers on the drive or motherboard before closing up the case. You will also want to make certain that you have room in the case. Of course, if you are removing another drive, then you can put it there. Hope that this helps you decide.
