• This is an external drive. You must have a primary drive in any computer to boot the operating system. Just in case there is any confusion; "you cannot boot from an external drive".

• Hi, this is desktop version you need a 2.5" drive. If I was you get the PNY 256gb ssd drive best buy has on this site like $68 will make your laptop snappy fast!!!

• Not compatible. Wrong form factor for a laptop hd. To replace a laptop hd I'd highlly recommend a 2 1/2" SSD drive.
