This should be as easy a plug-n-play. I have replaced many harddrives in Dell computers with similar drives from Seagate. I have yet to have any type of issues, conflicts, or incompatibility.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes as long as it accepts a sata connecton
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should be depending on which model of the GX280 series you have. Some of them can only handle 1 or 2 hard drives depending upon your use. If you are wanting to replace existing, it should be ok. If you are wanting to add storage, might not be. If replacing you will have to either clone the drive or reinstall Windows completely on it. If you are running Windows XP, I don't think it is worth putting money into.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your laptop currently uses a SATA drive, yes it will.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless I'm very mistaken, this drive should work fine in your Optiplex tower. Dell lists a WD drive that's 1 TB, and the interface is the same (SATA). You will want to back up all your data to an external of some sort, and then after swapping out the drive do an operating system software install with the factory install disks (should have shipped with your tower). If you're adding this as a second drive you may need to look at what else you have in your system that would also affect the output of your power supply (if it's still "stock" then there shouldn't be enough power drain from one extra hard drive to affect it) and you'll likely need a second SATA cable to connect this drive to the motherboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The drive will physically fit within the computer. It would be best to verify with Dell if they have any known issues with trying to install this drive in that computer due to capacity limitations of the motherboard or BIOS limitations. Beyond these reasons, the drive should work without any concerns.
