Your dimensions don't make any sense. 1"??? I have a tower which is industry standard in size and I used the SABRENT BK-HDDH mount.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 2008 Imac used 3.5" desktop HDDs, SSD drives are much smaller. This drive is smaller so to fit properly in the cage you'll need to get a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter rails. Another option, you may be able to use velcro, double sided tape, etc to secure the drive to the inside of the machine. Another annoyance to some Apple iMacs, some use a HDD vendor specific thermal probe that's built into the factory hard drive. So if it came with a Seagate drive for example, you'll need to plug that Seagate thermal sensor into the replacement seagate drive otherwise the fans will run at 100%. Of course, WD drive versions use a slightly different plug too. Since the SSDs do not use that "feature", your fans will run at 100% unless you bypass that with a software fan controller running in the background on your machine. Then again, you may be lucky and get a thermal couple that's taped to your drive; in that case, just tape it to the outside of the new ssd or cage and not have to worry about the fan annoyance.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it most likely would, I fitted one inside a late 2006 model two weeks ago and it works nicely
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The iMac does have a 3.5" drive. So yes.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This drive should fit any 3 1/2" drive bay. It's thinner vertically than older drives, so there's space for air to circulate above it. I had this first in an external enclosure, then mounted it inside my case. It's the same width as other 3 1/2" drives. I have a PC though, so can't vouch for the mounting arrangement in a Mac - but if it has a 3 1/2" drive bay then it should be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will fit 3.5 x 1 is the form factor and 4x5 must be the actual inches of the external case if it is a 3.5 inch hard drive bay this should fit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yep it's a 3.5" bay 7200 rpm nowadays 2.5"=laptop hd 3.5"=desktop hd 5.25"=optical drive (cd/dvd/blu-ray drive).
