- Answer Yes. Mine came preformafted as NTFS so you will be able to read the files on it out of the box. But to be able to write files to it, you will have to install software to allow you to write to NTFS volumes or reformat it to HFS+ from within Disk Utility.

Questionis 8GB enough cell size ?With the thousands of read/writes W7 does per hour, does the drive learn to use the platters for these ? I have 4GB ram now, and my HD is still busy all the time. I am ready to buy.

- Answer If you mean the 8GB SDD it is good enough according to the manufacturer's website, they do explain that you don't need more SDD cache as for the programs you usually open at all times are not that big, as for me this is not working very well as I have a lot of installed programs that I use everyday for video and photo production. This is great for a student or the common office.
